PRODUCTSDemisters

Demisters for efficient droplet and aerosol separation

H+S demisters are designed for the reliable separation of liquid particles from air, gas, and vapor streams.

As efficient and economical demister systems, they reliably protect downstream components such as compressors, heat exchangers, and filters from moisture, thereby making a significant contribution to operational safety.

Operating Principle of Demisters

During the separation process, the gas or vapor stream flows through a fine-mesh wire knit of the demister.

Due to inertia and gravity, the liquid droplets impinge on the wire surfaces, coalesce at the mesh junctions, and collect as larger droplets in the collection chamber.

This simple yet highly effective demister principle enables separation efficiencies of up to 99.9% for a defined droplet size, while maintaining low pressure loss.

Series and Designs

Two series are available in the H+S demister product range:

“Standard” Demister

Cleaning (by steam purging or flushing) via an inspection opening in the top head

“Standard with Vessel Flanges” Demister

The entire top head can be fully opened; the demister pad is freely accessible for cleaning or replacement

Optionally, the demisters can be equipped with HS float-type condensate traps from our own production.

Demisters – Quality Based on Experience

The demister pads are individually tailored to your specific process conditions.

Depending on the medium, pressure, temperature, and corrosion requirements, we supply demister housings made of carbon steel, stainless steel, or other suitable materials.

The demister pads themselves are manufactured exclusively from non-corrosive stainless steel.

Wire mesh, supports, and internal components are also designed to meet the specific requirements of each process.
