The BZ cyclone liquid separators (System Prof. Barth) from Haub + Schöllnhammer are high-performance liquid separators designed to reliably remove droplets, liquids, and condensate from air, gas, and vapor streams.

These liquid separators protect downstream equipment such as compressors, turbines, or pumps from liquid carryover, thereby increasing process reliability and energy efficiency.

Operating Principle of the Liquid Separators

Our liquid separators operate according to the cyclone principle:

The gas- or vapor-liquid mixture is introduced into the nozzle guide assembly (NGA).

Due to their higher mass, the liquid droplets are forced against the separator wall, where they accumulate and drain into the collection chamber.

This purely mechanical separation without moving parts enables high separation efficiencies with low maintenance requirements and minimal pressure loss.

BZ Cyclone Liquid Separators – Quality and Versatility

The liquid separators of the BZ series are manufactured in various designs and materials – aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel – and are individually adapted to the respective operating conditions.

Standard and compact separators are available with threaded or flanged connections from ½″ up to DN 250.

For particularly demanding applications, special designs are available for pressures up to 650 bar, operating temperatures up to 930 °C, and nominal diameters up to DN 1350.
